Supreme fw17 – don’t belive the hype
The time is here for many streetwear aficionado’s, Supreme have released the lookbook & Preview for FW17.
While a lot of devotee’s are getting them selves out the game during the past 2 seasons. As resale rockets and the demographic buying Supreme gets younger and less interested about clothes and more the flexing culture.
Have Supreme delivered a solid season and kept everyone happy or will this be the beginning of the end?
After looking through the lookbook and preview, Its safe to say my perspective, this is a very middle of the road collection. Obnoxious branding in full effect and seasons trends are boiled into Soho ready pieces. Including plays on camo, popular silhouettes and materials from previous collections (which seems like easy cash rather than any innovation). Compared to collections from years ago, the style of clothes seems to becoming rehashes and never holds the same importance that some of the old designs do. The edginess of seeing swearwords in tongue and cheek fashion, is defiantly reaching its day.
As i’m Looking through 7 pieces stand out that I’m interested in grabbing. However the amount of bots, captcha system and raffle system to even queue, means i’ll more than likely not end up getting anything.
First drop of the season is this Thursday in-store (170817) and the following week (240817) online.
